Blueprint Church Mini-Work Day

This Saturday (yeah, this one meaning in less than 24 hours) we’re partnering again w/ Briarlake Church for a mini-work day. This time we will also be canvassing our church community handing out small flyers about Blueprint.

If you’d like to join us (and you’re not participating in one of our Saturday morning Rebuild Classes) or if you’d like more information, please email me (sam@BlueprintChurch.org). We’d like to have six to eight people but the more the merrier!!!

AWESOME update on Gettin Myles’ iPad

HEY, EVERYBODY!!!

Just that quick, we have enough to get Myles’ iPad!!! Wow, God knows how to blow us away over and over! We continue to be humbled by the love and support of the community that has rallied around us on this road.  It’s a marathon, not a sprint. And whenever we feel ourselves discouraged or getting wearied, you guys are our second wind. Thank you.

If you wanted to be involved, don’t feel cheated! (smile) We still have to get more than $300 worth of communication apps and software that are not included in the puzzling piece fundraiser!  If you’d still like to be involved, feel free to make a tax-deductible donation to Myles’ medical Fund through Helping Hands Ministry.

Go to https://www.hhmin.org/make_donation_projects.php. Project category is “Medical Projects”. Project is “Dula Family”. It’s simple from there.

Again, we love you, and cannot thank you enough for your support!!!

Gettin Myles’ iPad

Hey Family!

There is a fundraiser that many Autistic families are using to get iPads for their children on the spectrum. Software has been developed for the iPad to assist non-verbal and limited-verbal children. As most of you know, Myles’ verbal communication is extremely limited. At 9, he still leans heavily on single words and is not conversational. It’s one of our greatest challenges. My hope is that the software many families have experienced great results with will help Myles.

If you’d like to help, it’s easy! Go to http://www.thepuzzlingpiece.com/products.html. Select the necklace or keychain. When you purchase the item(s) through PayPal, a drop down menu will give you the option of who your donation goes to. Autism Speaks is the first option. You can just leave that as the default. BUT make sure when you’re checking out that you CLICK ON SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND TYPE This donation should be credited to Myles Dula’s iPad Challenge!

If you want to go low tech, just see me or contact me, and we can do the ol’ sign up sheet, pay me, and I’ll get your product to you when it comes in. Whatever is easiest.

I have to sell 60 of these to get Myles’ iPad. Myles’ birthday is February 3. My goal is to have his iPad by then. I have attached pictures of the 2 products you can choose from. If you don’t want a keychain or necklace, but just want to contribute, that’s fine, too.

If you can’t buy a product or contribute, I understand! Pray for God’s favor that we’ll be able to get this quickly, get the appropriate software for Myles, and we hope, make life and communication easier for him!!!

Thank you…as always, for being on this journey with our family! Feel free to pass this on, post it, and generally put it out into the universe in whatever form you deem fit.

Much love!
